View Full Version : Have you modified your glove?

I am curious if anyone had modified their glove. On one of my gloves I removed the lowest stich on the little finger so my hand would fit farther in. This was needed because I like to wear it with my fingers shifted over and two fingers in the little finger of the glove. It just feels better that way and seems to have more closing power.
I am also curious if anyone has tried to put extra anti-sting padding in the palm and how you did it.

I wear my glove the same way... have since I was a kid. You'll notice alot of pros do too. It's much better for glove control and minimizing sting. I've never removed any stitching to accommodate this though. I simply do not buy gloves that don't have a big enough pinky stall. Some brands do, and some don't, but for the most part there are plenty of brands that have big enough finger stalls to accommodate. I wear Rawlings, Easton, TPX, and Akadema gloves. For my hand all of those are big enough.
You can further minimize sting by stuffing a piece of foam or rolled up paper towel into the index finger stall, and keeping your index finger out of the glove. Also, some brands provide more palm-padding than others. Easton Pro gloves tend to be very well padded and reduce sting quite nicely.
