Is the new Rawlings $400 a waste, or do you think it would be worth it?

I hear a lot of talk about materials but none about function, aside from feeling nicer, what are the real benefits of Italian leather? Will it last longer than 6oz steerhide like my Kelley?

Until I get to be close to one I'll hold back on its value, but for now, lots of questions.

Okay, so the new Primo from Rawlings looks great and is made of really nice leather. This glove weighs a ton! I picked one up at my local sporting goods store and it is really heavy. It looks great, but I'm not shelling out that kind of money for something I won't use. Give me my Custom Elite Glovesmith any day.

A buddy of mine has the 11 1/4 Primo. Feels great. Beautiful glove! But 400 bucks, no way. No better than a Nokona. I personally don't think it is worth $400, just my opinion.
