I simply cannot beleive that the best glove on the market is a Rawlings or a Wilson. I'm sure that they are the most popular and they have great marketing. Many professional players wear their gloves, but are they really the best?

My son has a Kelley Black Series. In my opinion it was teh very best glove when new. Now two seasons later, it is a little too soft and floppy for my liking. My son still loves it however.

My son also has a SAF glove. It is very rigid. It is a little too stiff on the hand, but keeps tremendous shape and the fingers are very firm. Of course it hasn't seen anywhere near the amount of play that the Kelley glove has. My son did not like it because it was like trying to field with a piece of plywood. If the ball didn't hit in the pocket, it would bounce off the stiff leather and cause an error.

What have been your or your sons favorites?

My 11/12 year old son uses Mizuno and oiled it good so it is soft in the pocket and crease but stiff on the edges. He likes it as he can squeeze the glove easily but doesn't lose balls that hit the edge of his glove.

I have a Wilson A2000 which I really like but it's more for pitchers. I like the Wilson A2000 or A2k 1787 gloves with H webbing ~11.5" for infield and larger ones for outfield.

I have been wanting to try a Kelley or Valle one of these days which I've read a lot about but haven't bought one yet. I keep watching for them used so I can try it out without spending a great deal.

I have looked into Mizuno pro gloves and Rawlings pro i.e 300 dollar gloves but didn't like them surprisingly.... The Wilson A2k are also premium gloves and again if I find a used one for a bit cheaper I might go for it as well..

There are other brands, worth Nokana etc and I've tried them on but they are heavy IMHO. I like the superskin from Wilson as it lightens up the glove... Personally I don't like heavy gloves or shoes... while they may provide support they don't help you when you're tired... YMMV..

Best glove -- that is more of a personal preference.

I have never used a Kelly glove. If it feels soft, try relacing it with nice quality laces.

I agree, "best glove" is an opinion.

I would reccommend a Kelley to anyone considering it. The laces are very strong and heavy. They are not wearing and do not appear streched. The golve was soft, like a Kip leather glove, when my son received it. It is very usable and like I say, he beleives it is still like new.

I like the Nacoma gloves, but they are inconsistant in fit and feel.
